By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

  1. Select appropriate data management software for a given research context (MS Excel, SPSS, PAST, Epi Info, GraphPad Prism)
  2. Apply single or double data entry procedures to minimise data entry errors
  3. Code categorical variables and manage missing data appropriately
  4. Create and organise a master data chart suitable for inclusion in the thesis appendix
